| FAQ at Velocity Cycles on the CARLISLE PIKE in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.
Q. What taxes do I need to pay?
A. You are charged 6% sales tax on the rental charges. In addition, vehicles that will be driven on public highways will be charged a $2 per day PTA tax.
Q. What safety equipment is required?
A. We require Helmet, Eye Protection, and Gloves. These are also available for rent at a nominal charge.
Q. What insurance do I need?
A. Currently we are unaware of any insurance company or credit card company that provides coverage when you are operating a rental ATV or motorcycle. We have arranged a group policy to cover you at a rate of $15 per day plus a $3 processing charge. This will be paid by you directly to the insurance company by clicking on the MBA Insurance Logo on the Home Page. This insurance will provide you with all State required liability insurances. All of our units come with a $3000 in Collision and Comprehensive coverage per unit. In addition, our Collision Damage Waiver is available from your rental company which limits your responsibility for damage to just a $1000 deductible. YOU ARE 100% RESPONSIBLE TO RETURN THE VEHICLE TO US IN THE SAME CONDITION IT LEFT. You will be charged in full for damage and vandalism, which includes theft of the vehicle. Punctured or damaged tires are also your responsiblity, and can be covered with our Tire Failure Waiver.
Q. What payment types do you accept?
A. We only accept credit cards and personal checks that have cleared the bank prior to the rental.
Q. How long can I rent for?
A. Rentals are Daily, Weekly, or by the Weekend. Since we are not open Sunday or Monday for returns, we do not count Mondays. For example, a Weekly rental would actually be 8 days. Pick up on Tuesday, return the following Tuesday. A weekend rental would be four days. Pick up Friday for Tuesday return, or Saturday for Wednesday return. Free Mondays!
Q. What are the age requirements?
A. All renters must be 21 years old in order to rent our vehicles. No on road drivers under 25 will be allowed. Rentals can be made for ATV's by someone 25 or older for use by younger age appropriate riders.
Q. How long can we rent for?
A. We can only rent you the unit for 30 days maximum. At that time we would need to initiate a new rental agreement. We do have long-term rental programs, as well as a rent-to-own plan available.
Q. Can I take my rental out of the state? What about out of the country?
A. Rentals may leave the state with prior permission only. At no time do we allow our rental vehicles to leave the country
Q. What amount of deposit is required?
A. We require a deposit of $1000 per vehicle in the form of either a credit card or personal check (which must be recieved in advance and must clear bank before rental). Rental fees, damage, and late charges will be deducted from this deposit and the unused portion returned to you.
Q. How Do I make a Reservation?
A. Reservations can be made right here on this site, Email your request to
Schuylkill Off-Road Rentals.. Street motorcycles will require a $50 Non-refundable deposit for reservations. Due to high demand, and our multiple locations, it is recommended you make a reservation at least 48 hours in advance to insure availability.

Rentals can be made for ATV's by someone 21 or older for use by younger age appropriate BUT ACCEPTABLE PROOF OF AGE IS REQUIRED, NO EXCEPTIONSWE NO LONGER ALLOW ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 16 TO OPERATE OUR RENTAL ATV'S, BUT THERE IS NO AGE LIMIT FOR DIRT BIKES.

A. Rentals may leave the park with prior permission only. Vehicles going offsite require a larger security deposit and are subject to our normal rental guidelines and rules.
Q. What amount of deposit is required?
A. We require a deposit of $250 for stay-in-the-park rentals per vehicle in the form of a credit or debit card. Rental fees, damage, and any other charges will be deducted from this deposit and the unused portion returned to you. Vehicles leaving Rausch Creek property require a $1000 dollar deposit.
